Electronic Professional Development

The Accommodations and Modifications for Students with Disabilities Project is pleased to offer a series of online courses that provide easy-to-use, accessible professional development for Florida educators and others who wish to learn about working with students with disabilities. These self-paced classes are offered free of charge through the Electronic Professional Development (EPD) learning management system. Educators who successfully complete an EPD course and required follow-up activities may request inservice points from their local school district.

Directions for Accessing the EPD Online Courses

1. To create a user account, go to http://portal.epdflorida.org/login.aspx
2. Click on Register for an Account on the left side of the screen.
3. Fill in the user profile form and click Save. You will then be sent an email asking to  activate your account. (Note: If the network doesn’t respond immediately with the activation e-mail,  please keep checking.)
4. Click on the activation link in the e-mail to complete your registration and activate your account. The login screen will appear.
5. Log in to your account.
6. Click on My Profile on the left side of the screen.
7. Click My Enrolled Courses. Check Launch to begin the course. You will find helpful information about navigation and follow-up requirements in the Getting Started section of the course.
8. Once you are registered for an account, you may select another courses by clicking on Go to Course Catalog on your home page.
