Description of the workshop
This is a one-day awareness level workshop that provides tools and strategies for instructional planning for students with significant cognitive disabilities. Participants learn to apply best practices and become familiar with resources available to educators who work with students with disabilities. While the workshop emphasizes planning instruction in general education environments, the methods described may be applied across all types of educational settings.

Target audience
This workshop is designed for teachers in regular and exceptional student education (ESE). It is also beneficial for guidance counselors, speech pathologists, and other educators who deal with students who have special learning needs.
