and their associated standards represent disciplines (e.g., Algebra, Geometry).
They do NOT represent courses. Courses will be developed from these standards.
A particular course (e.g., Algebra I, ESE Mathematics) may have standards
drawn from more than one Body of Knowledge. There will be some Florida mathematics
courses with curriculum defined by other organizations (such as College
Board for Advanced Placement Calculus or International Baccalaureate mathematics
courses. |
"Sunburst" Standards
The "sunburst" standards represent content
standards that all students who complete a standard high school diploma
should master. These standards will be incorporated into mathematics courses
that all students are required to take for graduation. They may be used
in developing state assessment for high school graduation. |
