Professional Development

Replicable training materials designed for face-to-face workshops include complete descriptions of workshop activities, Power Point slides, and handouts, which are available for downloading. Topics include implementing accommodations, planning for integrating curriculum modifications, and writing measurable annual goals for the individual educational plans. Pathways for Progress workshop provide an orientation of the access points for the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for selected subject areas.

Electronic Professional Development

Click here to go to the Electronic Professional Development (EPD) learning management system, a series of online courses that provide easy-to-use, accessible professional development for Florida educators and others who wish to learn about working with students with disabilities. These self-paced classes are offered free of charge and educators who successfully complete an EPD course and required follow-up activities may request inservice points from their local school district.
