Debby Houston is a full-time Research Associate working on a contract with the Florida Department of Education. She is developing materials for classroom teachers to improve instructional planning skills. Before coming to the Center for Performance Technology she was an administrator at the Florida Department of Education where she developed policies and provide technical assistance to administrators, teachers and parents of students with disabilities. Previously she was a special education administrator in a Florida school district and taught special education at the elementary through high school levels in both Florida and Georgia. She has authored publications, conducted numerous training sessions and presentations at the state and national levels, and received several leadership awards in the field of special education.
