The Center for Performance Technology (CPT) is one of two centers of the Learning Systems Institute at Florida State University and an internationally recognized leader in human performance R&D.
Under the leadership of CPT Director Dr.
Robert K. Branson, the mission of the Center for Performance Technology
is "to design, develop, and implement technology-based education and performance
programs in large organizations through the application of a systems approach."
In achieving this purpose, CPT is guided by the following aims to:
- advance the art of instructional systems,
performance technology, and education
- pursue objectives of significant social
value
- take bold steps in redefining education
and training
- embody principles for implementing quality
systems
- acquire and apply appropriate resources
to accomplish the tasks
- serve large organizations, including state
and national governmental agencies, corporations, military services, and
developing countries
